Workplace & Facilities Expo attendance confirmed for RTS

RTS are pleased to announce we will be attending the Workplace & Facilities Expo. The two-day event is taking place on 3-4 March at the RDS, Dublin.

Workplace & Facilities Expo offers exhibitors the opportunity to network, engage and meet their ideal decision makers over two days. Born out of the country’s leading FM Conference & Exhibition, Workplace & Facilities Expo is the country’s largest event of its kind.

According to a recent report by the Health Research Board (HRB) over the last decade, approximately 350-400 people lost their lives as result of the toxic effects of drugs in Ireland. In at least half of these cases more than one drug was involved, while in about one third, alcohol was implicated. The number of deaths due to illicit drug use has also increased from 2016-2017. This increase was due to cocaine, ecstasy and heroin use. Importantly, prescribed drugs are implicated in two-thirds of all deaths.

With drug consumption being an increasing concern in Irish society, it is important that companies are proactive in trying to reduce the potential risks to their employees. By implementing a drug & alcohol testing programme, employers are safe-guarding their employees wellbeing and reducing the risk of an accident occurring whilst at work.
